GIFT POLICY

The giving and receiving of gifts facilitate the establishment and development of business relationships with business partners. However, some gifts may be considered a form of corruption or damage the reputation of Zarząd Morskiego Portu Police Sp. z o.o. and the Grupa Azoty Capital Group. Therefore, the company has developed rules outlined in the Gift Policy implemented at Zarząd Morskiego Portu Police Sp. z o.o., which are binding for its employees and collaborators.

The Gift Policy clarifies the principles and rules set out in the Code of Ethical Conduct and the Anti-Corruption Code. It also expands employee knowledge regarding the types of gifts they may give or accept, as well as the permissible conditions and rules for giving or accepting gifts within Zarząd Morskiego Portu Police Sp. z o.o. The described rules aim to reduce the risk of suspicion of corruption in the company’s activities in all jurisdictions where it operates, in line with the principle of “Zero Tolerance for Corruption.”

The procedure depends on the value of the received or given gift. It should be noted that for gifts exceeding a unit value of 200 PLN gross:

  • When giving gifts – the information must be reported to the relevant organizational unit, which is responsible for issuing appropriate tax declarations.
  • When receiving gifts – a monthly register is created and subsequently forwarded to the relevant organizational unit for inclusion in the company’s tax settlements.

The regular giving of gifts (worth over 400 PLN gross within one year) to the same person is prohibited.

The acceptance of a gift, financial benefit, or personal benefit by an employee:

  • participating in a procurement procedure, or
  • directly involved in the selection of suppliers or service providers, or
  • supervising the execution of contracts, or
  • conducting inspections or approvals of completed work,

is prohibited.

The acceptance of gifts in the form of cash or cash equivalents (e.g., gift vouchers, shares) by an employee is prohibited.

Zarząd Morskiego Portu Police Sp. z o.o. has also established rules regarding the one-time cost of meals (including beverages) during business meetings to ensure moderation and necessary modesty among its employees in this regard. The cost per person should not exceed:

  • for breakfast – 100 PLN gross in Poland and the equivalent of 50 EUR gross abroad,
  • for lunch – 150 PLN gross in Poland and the equivalent of 75 EUR gross abroad,
  • for dinner – 200 PLN gross in Poland and the equivalent of 100 EUR gross abroad.

For every business meeting, any tip expenses are borne by the host and covered from private funds.

Suspected violations of the Gift Policy within Zarząd Morskiego Portu Police Sp. z o.o. should be reported to:
